We started the day with a bus ride on one of the tour buses that travels around Manhattan. We got the front seats, so had an excellent view as we travelled from Battery Park uptown to midtown. 
We got a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge along the way, as well as our first close glimpse of the big buildings in midtown.
Liz spotted this multi-story apartment sitting atop a very ordinary looking building.

And we saw some buildings. Chrysler, Trump (90 stories, tallest accommodations in the world) and the two UN buildings (no flags as they were not in session).
