As you can see, we are no longer in DC, or the USA for that matter. We have a couple of rest days before a big adventure starts, so took the opportunity to do a bit of driving, and found two icons of northern Italy. Sam and Alyssa joined me at the top. It's a bizarre feeling climbing the tower with its lean on the stairs.
Then it was off to Florence to see my namesake. Unfortunately, the Gallery doesn't allow photos, so I pinched this one from the web. It's much more impressive in person.
