This morning, we went up onto the top deck of the Staten Island Ferry, known as the “Hurricane Deck”. Wasn’t too windy. Alyssa has a test the day after we return to DC, so she and Liz took the opportunity for some revision on the way across. It was all smiles!
We noticed a flotilla of boats, surrounding a fleet of kayaks. When we got close, we noticed the swimmers near the kayaks. A morning swim from Manhattan to Staten Island. I don’t get it as the Ferry is free and a lot quicker!

Again it was foggy this morning. Which gave us another great view of Manhattan as it gradually appeared out of the mist.
