NBA - Wizards vs Magic (it wasn't)

Back to the Verizon Center again, this time for another Wizards game. It was just Sam and I tonight. We started with the traditional hot dog and chips dinner ...

It was then time for a pre-game movie review, and Caron Butler reviewed Semi-Pro (Will Ferrell is everywhere!)

While waiting for the game to start, we admired the retired numbered player's flags (Capitals players - ice hockey) which were almost at eye level (yes, we had very cheap seats tonight!)

In earlier games, they projected the image of the Dallas Cowboys to get the crowd booing. Tonight they used this image, that of the Duke Blue Devils, a loved/hated college known for its basketball program. They have won a number of NCAA championships (March madness is about to start again!)

As you can see from the scoreline at this early stage, the Wizards needed all the help they could get.

As the game progressed and the Wizards got further behind, Sam became less interested in the game and more interested in his book, a Cartoon History of the United States of America.

The most entertaining parts of the second half were the timeouts, when they have various characters and the dancing girls. Here's G-Man who does the trampoline slamdunks and tonight the T-Shirt launches.

Almost over now and you can see the pain on their faces!

Here's some of the final quarter actions as the Wizards struggle to stay within 30 point of the Magic.

This is now the 4th time I've seen the Wizards play, and they've only won one of the four. Almost a bad as my record watching the Crows play interstate (0 for 5!).
