The Metro in DC (public transport underground/above ground train system) is one of those things that has become a part of our lives and we use it to get to events in DC, as well as I use it to get to work and other meetings on a regular basis. Some days I catch myself not appreciating where I am and having riden the entire trip without noticing my surroundings (there are some great views of some DC icons from the Metro).
The Metro stations themselves are works of art and very clean. There is a no food/drink policy which keeps away the arts (unlike the NYC subway system).
So here's some shots I took out the window today as we travelled to/from the ice skating on the Metro.
