It was a great game. I spent the time before the game explaining to Alyssa that it is a bit like soccer and there may not be a lot of scoring, but it's still exciting.It took the Capitals a whole 32 seconds to score their first goal. And then another 2 minutes to score the next. And then another. By the end of the first period, the Capitals had scored 6 goals to nothing, including a hat trick to the star player, No.8 Alex Ovechkin. The Bruins worked their way through several goalies, but none could stop the Capitals tonight. The Bruins had won 6 in a row and the Caps were coming off a narrow loss on Saturday night.
The crowd were beserk by the end of the first quarter as you could well imagine.

The rest of the game was a bit more even, 4-2, and the Caps had ther best win for a long time!
I even managed to get the final of the 10 goals on video. It started with a double power play, and ended with the usual celebrations.
