After an absence of over 44 hours, it was time for me to return to Wolf Trap, for some more culture. This time, it was the national Symphony Orchestra, playing Not the Messiah, a comic oratio written by Eric Idle of Monty Python fame. This time I had an inside reserved seat which was just as well as I only just made it from the Strings Concert across before it started.
It was performed by Eric Idle and four soloists, performing the parts of Brian, Judith, his mother and various other characters. Eric played his parts from the movie.
It was a lot of fun, and the audience were obviously all Python fans. There were key phrases that we all knew were coming .. "He's a very naughty boy", "The acquaducts", "We're all individuals - I'm not" ...

It was all very clever. And for an encore they sang the Galaxy Song from Meaning of Life.
