The lectures are held in the IMAX theater at the Museum, and before the lecture we got to see a great 3D IMAX movie of the sun in 3D, with images and movies collected by two satellites set up to image the sun in stereo.
We also picked up some space weather comics and the kids read them after the movie. We then had the lecture which the kids learned a lot. The bit they loved the best was a clip from the Daly show where a parody of space weather forecast was given. And they understood all the terminology having just seen a great presentation with great graphics etc.
To finish off the night, the local amateur club had set up some telescopes outside the museum and we all had a great view of Saturn, it's rings and a few of its moons.
