Visiting the White House

This morning, the kids and I got to visit the White House (east wing and main building), while Liz attended a conference.

It was set up quite differently compared to our previous visit in December. The Christmas tree was gone, and the East and Main Dining rooms were set up differently. Our PM was here only the week before.

It is an impressive (and small) building, both inside and out. The furnishings inside are spectacular, both in their appearance and their history.

Unfortunately, we couldn't take a camera in, so the best we could do was a photo outside, near where we parked on Constitution Ave. After the visit, we went to the White House Visitors Center, where we learned a lot more about life in the White House.

It's quite a privilege to be able to do this, as most foreigners cannot get access!
