The Old Post Office

Next stop today was the Old Post Office Building. The name says it all, and it was at one stage schedued for demolition about 20 years ago. However, sanity eventually prevailed and the building was saved and turned into a tourist and office building. The atrium inside is 10 stories high. The tower is higher than most surrounding buildings (DC has a complicated building law basically prohibiting any buildings higher than about 10 stories), and has a great unobstructed view in all directions.

After the visit to the tower, it was lunchtime, and that means donuts!
