Tonight, Liz and I spent the evening at a wine and cheese night at the Canadian Embassy. Following Canadian help with the Tehran issue in the 1980's they were sold a block of land for $1 right on the Mall, with spectacular views, and built an equally impressive building.
To top off the night (after the hottest day of the year so far), a spectacular thunderstorm rolled through putting on an amazing lightning display, with the backdrop of the Capitol.
