Today, while the girls went to a dance show put on by some neighbours and their dance studio, Sam and I went for a bike ride. We started heading North on the Mt Vernon Bike Trail, reached Old Towne Alexandria, and then kept going. We finally came to rest at the Washington Marina on the Potomac, just south of Reagan National Airport. We had an ice block and a rest, watching the planes take off and land, before heading back. On the way back, we enjoyed the scenery, including some rests over the various wetlands the bike trail passes through. A nice pleasant 20 MILE ride. It was Sam's first bike ride of more than a couple of miles, and he did superbly. Guess who was sorer on Sunday!
